FROM VERTIGO, Inaugural Exhibition.

November 22 – December 11

Brispa opens its doors with an exhibition celebrating multiplicity and incompleteness. Eleven artists working at the intersection of disciplines: jewelry, painting, and sculpture, show how contemporary art permeates everyday life and transforms our way of seeing.

This beginning is also an invitation to inhabit the space as a meeting place, to discover processes, to hear new voices and to be surprised by works that explore other ways of doing things.

With this first exhibition, Brispa's journey begins., a space that will transform with each collaboration and that seeks to build bridges between those who create and those who approach with curiosity.

Appearing always carries risk. The first time something or someone is exposed to the world, a tension arises between expectation and the unknown: vertigo. The exhibition takes this moment as its starting point. It is not only about the opening of a new space, but also about the fact that the works gathered share the quality of the emergent, of that which is still in the process of becoming.

Eleven artists give shape to this vertigo: diverse perspectives that share the desire to appear, to transform, and to burst forth. Paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and jewelry that seem to be in motion: materials that breathe, fragmented bodies, objects that rebel against their traditional function. Everything oscillates between the visible and the latent, between what already is and what is yet to be defined.

This intermediate state (uncertain, expectant, inaugural) is experienced from a place of vertigo.

Rather than asserting forms, the exhibition reveals processes, glimpses, tensions. The works gathered share a common impulse: to give life to matter. The living and the inert merge, the intimate becomes collective, the beautiful intertwines with the unsettling.

The diversity of media, far from being dispersive, opens up fertile ground where different disciplines engage in dialogue. The journey is not linear; the works support one another, as if the fragility of being shown for the first time were transformed into shared strength.

The viewer is invited to contemplate the initial moment. To feel a sense of vertigo: the vertigo of being there for the first time.

Participating artists

En From the vertigoPainting, jewelry, and ceramics intertwine to explore the instant when something transforms and appears.

Rita Paisana It opens with paintings where the wound becomes color and the body, landscape. Beside them, the jewels of Gabriella Goldsmith They materialize the subconscious: imagined fragments and organs that turn vulnerability into strength.

Natsumi Kaihara y Soyoung Hyun They make matter breathe. In their hands, metal heals and porcelain breathes: forms that seem alive, suspended between the useful and the poetic.

Ivana Poliakova, Karoline Healy y Carlos Borau They work from memory and transformation. Poliakova reinterprets ceramic tradition as an act of closeness and resistance; Healy introduces a contemporary alchemy, where metals extracted by plants reveal the connection between the living and the mineral; Borau leaves the mark of gesture on silver, celebrating imperfection as a form of beauty.

La Deke y Jasper Nollet They transfer the vertigo to space: she paints walls that preserve the urban pulse, he models ceramics that seem like remains of an imagined civilization.

In the jewelry of Erik Merisalu, matter becomes organic and unsettling, as if something latent inhabited its surface; in the works of Hyein KimMyths and symbols are translated into painting and sculpture, between story and dream.

Each artist, through their own language, embodies that moment of transition where form is still being born.

Together they draw a map of vertigo: a shared territory of searching and transformation.

Thanks to everyone who joined in the excitement: artists, collaborators, and the public.
